New OrcaMind EP - SKIPPING STONES. So excited to share this new single and music video with you. We've been performing the songs off of Skipping Stones on our stream since the beginning. The songs are in a specific tuning/vibe that we like to call "grunge hour" because they have a vibe of soft stormy grunge. I aimed to capture this in these visuals. I layered pacific ocean scenes we filmed with our performances, and put some effects on the shots for a 90s/2000s inspired vibe mixed with modern. One cool effect we did was to film the song in 2x speed and then slow it down 50% for the slow motion performances. What we heard was basically a fast chipmunk version of the song while filming those parts haha.
This song, and the others of this EP carry visceral meanings. Skipping Stones, The Fall, Perigee, Breathe, Dead Moons (new acoustic version), and Effigy (new acoustic version). It can mean something different and personal depending on what you think and feel. That's something unique and special to these compared to our other songs, which called for them to have their own EP.
