Skateboard hook how to make Its a Rubbish Challenge

Make your own funky skateboard hook from an old timber skateboard deck.
I was out early one morning skateboarding with my dog when I came across half a broken deck...just left for me to find!
Picking it up I it occurred to me that it would make a great skateboard hook just like the cool bent birch hangUp skates that I make sell through pricklysauce.com.
With a few tools the deck can be made to hang up your skateboard.

I laid it on the deck, centralised the truck holes and used some white spray paint to mark around the shape as the black deck tape is hard to mark otherwise. Chalk would work well as well, though not so cool.
Cut the shape out with a bandsaw, jigsaw, fret or copping saw. Beware that the deck tape is an abrasive and will blunt your blade, use an old one.
Sand all edges with what ever sanding disk/belt that you have and lightly sand the arriss's by hand, the deck tape actually works well as abrasive paper.
Cut out a spacer block from the scrap of deck so that the screws for the truck fixing holes will fit into it.
Remove any deck tape and sand flat to get rid of the undulations of the ply skate shape. This needs to sit nicely flat against the wall.
Drill two holes centrally one above the other.
Pre-drill the truck fixing holes to the spacer, if your screws are a little long snip off flush to the back of the spacer.
Fix the spacer to the wall and fix the hook to the spacer.
Please make sure that the hook is securely fixed to a solid wall or the stud of a partion wall, a plasterboard fixing will not be strong enough.
Make sure there are no electrical, water or gas pipes or any other cabling behind the hook that may be damaged. Be safe.
Hang up your skateboard...hat...coat...or just leave as is and enjoy.
