Its a Rubbish Challenge was inspired by my video 'Carrier Bag Charge' youtube.com/watch?v=zP5j4G7W-c0 that got me thinking more about the stuff that we throw away. We all feel good that we recycle, though if you think about it, it is only rubbish in a green bin. Sure it will be re-processed and the material reused, though what if I started making things out of it instead. Wouldn't that be better to re-use instead of recycling, to give the waste a second life.
In Tin Can Drum I take a ubiquitous old baked bin tin can and make it into a funky little drum that can be plugged into an amp.
In the video I use my Fender Mustang 1 guitar modelling amp though any guitar amp should work or even a little mono amp that I will show you later on in the series or how about hack an old radio into an amp, again I will upload a video on this as well.
The piezo pickup is an electronic device that is found in many electrical devices that make a beep. The piezo 'beeps' though it can also act as a pick up as I use it with the tin can drum.
