C Vision Productions | Six EMDs on Monster Soo Line Ballast Train! @CVisionProductions1 | Uploaded 3 years ago | Updated 2 hours ago
In this C. Vision YouTube exclusive, we follow a Dresser ballast train from Maple Lake, Minnesota to Glenwood, Minnesota, across the old SOO mainline in October of 2015. We chose this train due to its size (115 loads), and its power. Six classic EMDs powered the train, including SOO SD60M 6061, CP 6239, DME 6090, DME 6362, CP 6225, and SOO 6026. A beautiful fall afternoon provided the perfect setting to follow this train across central Minnesota. The power looks and sounds great, as the engineer uses plenty of throttle to bring the train across the many hills of the Paynesville Subdivision. The heavy train stayed in one piece -and moved right along! A testament to the skill of the veteran engineer running the show that afternoon. Enjoy the video!
