I've must have started at least half a dozen AkuSai projects, and this is the only one I halfway like. As lovely as 358/2 Days HD footage is - and it is lovely, don't get me wrong - it's very... same-y. Very same and very boring. I was disappointed it seems to be over 60% them sitting and talking on the clock tower. Like we didn't have enough of that already.
ANYWAY, AkuSai is kind of tragic and I kind of used to not care about it much but DDD kind of cemented it for me.
It's mostly for Laurin, though, since she's my AkuSai buddy. But also for my other awesome friends. Because they're super awesome.

I would suggest 720p so you can clearly read the text - theres a lot of it. WHAT? You have to READ? The insanity, I know!
Basic story if it wasnt clear/you want to double-check to see if you got it all right:
Hope is a prince, whose parents died when he was younger because of undisclosed reasons. From then on, his caretaker, Caius, made untoward advances towards his twin sister, Yeul. When she rejected him, he murdered her and covered it up. Years later, Hope has ascended the throne - but still gets to be a prince since I said so - and meets and becomes close to Noel. Noel, however, was really hired by Caius to get close to and then assassinate Hope.
However, he takes longer than Caius wants, a point which Alyssa, Caiuss right-hand man, drives home often. Noel has fallen in love, however, and cannot bring himself to do it. Caius confronts Noel while hes out with Hope, and reveals to the prince everything, and attempts to off him himself. Noel fights and kills them, but Hope is hurt after learning his friend/lover/butt-buddy was just a lie, so he has him thrown in jail. Before his execution, however, he visits him... and reconciles.
(And I know Snows line is pretty damn impossible to read, but I believe its, Do not resist, foul beast.)
Nope - Noel x Hope for all the uninformed - is a beautiful, beautiful thing. Its pretty much my OTP here. And everywhere. It almost rivals True Luff - Seymour x Snow for everyone who doesnt understand pure joy - in my heart. Almost, Milla, I swear.
This is kind of an IC, sort of... We never really set a time period and we just sort of went for it. But either way, Im happy with it. I couldnt care less if she came out with the most beautiful editing known to man - Im really, really happy with how this beautiful piece of magic came out.

:c I hope I do well in the audition, I worked really hard on this. [hint: that was kind of sarcasm since its my thing]
Namines power is future sight/clairvoyance/whatever the hell you wanna call it, really. Basically she sees the future. The technical details I have not exactly decided yet(limitations/how it works/if its absolute, that sort of thing). But I will eventually decide and tell people.
Namine grew up the daughter of a rich and influential businessman, miles away from Galenth Dysleys organization, the Hunters, and seemingly all the trouble with the psychics. While she had always been aware of her powers, they seemed normal and her parents never discouraged her from using them nor showed any hint of fear or hatred. The only time she had ever encountered a Hunter was when she and her father were visiting the city, and he quickly left once her father spoke up.
As she grew older, however, she found it harder and harder to simply ignore the suffering she knew what was going on. While her parents attempted to keep her ignorant of most of the troubles of the nearby city, it was impossible to hide everything and she could no longer turn a blind eye. She ran away from home, and began writing letters...

Anyway, uh, the story should be fairly clear, if its not... uh, Serah is secretly a valiant, noble griffin, and Noctis is an incubus, and theyre fighting over Chopin, who is a mythical unicorn. Serah wants to eat him, Noctis wants to... [cough] you know. EITHER WAY, theyre fighting, and Leanne, Serahs uh, mermaid friend is there and Cisna, Nocts awesome banshee friend is also there, and theyre just having a great time, playing some jenga.
And yes, I DID abruptly stop the moment I got to the time limit. I just... grah, Im done with this week.

(wow, the timing on the names is really bad but whateveeeeeeer!)
Hooray, we begin! First off, the video is going to be lame this round and Im not really going to make this description formal and fancy because Im actually down at Disneyworld and exhausted. So.
A few important things to note for this contest:
- My OTPs have no bearing on this contest - so you wont be judged any harsher because you love a pairing I cant stand or vice versa or whatever,
- While you are not absolutely required to edit with your OTP, doing so will gain you extra points, and is basically just better for you anyway. And if you dont like editing them, well, why are they your OTP?
- I did accept all video responses, however, if your name is not shown, it is because you did not follow all of the rules and were therefore disqualified, usually being that you didnt tell me what your OTP and least favorite ship was, so sorry, better luck next time. c:
Theme/Challenge: Theme Songs
I want you to find your best/favorite/etc. song for your ship, and explain why you chose that song for your OTP. Points will be awarded for the editing itself, as well as how well you can relate your song choice to your OTP and make me - and the other judges - believe its the perfect song for your OTP as well.
There are no time limits, although you are being judged, and while bigger is not always better, you wont be impressing too many people with a ten second video, especially when your opponent may pump out a three minute video.
