Story: The night before the group goes to see Hydaelyn, Azena sneaks out to face her alone. She convinces Hydaelyn to merge with her and the two face Endsinger together after absorbing the Mothercrystal. However, it took too much from her and while she survives, she falls into an endless sleep.

This breaks Fey and Astra, who are determined to wake her up at any cost. They start hunting down criminals to drain them of aether to give to her, and slowly but surely move on to anyone they can get their hands on.

Leila goes to stop them, but is easily struck down and drained as well just as her brother Almeric shows up. Enraged, he moves to kill his former friends. He nearly loses, but Astra is too weak to go on and begs Fey to use the rest of her aether to give to Azena, hoping that will wake her up once and for all. Almeric takes Fey down.

Hundreds of years later, Azena does manage to wake up to an unfamiliar world, and wanders around until she finds a familiar face. However, he blames Azena for the whole situation and in a fit of rage he kills her as well.
