For long, it was thought that it would not be possible to make a single layer donut with these magnets, as it would require an extremely complex design, except for the small donut with a tiny hole made with 2 30 dots-pentagon caps with opposite polarity, 60 dots total.
Well, here it is, it's possible! It does require a tough and complex construction method, but the result, when made properly, has a perfect pentagon symmetry.
