Two sticks and a length of cord, that's all you need to make a fully functional swinging arm pot hanger.
In this video I used two spruce poles, about 2 inches in diameter and about 3-4 feet in length.
The first pole gets a sharpened end and that's it. This is the vertical pole that our arm will swing on.
The second pole (our arm) gets a tapered end and a birds-beak notch.
The two poles are held together by the length of cord. In this video I made a withie from a small sapling. Any cord will work, it just needs to be strong enough to hold the weight of the pot you will use.
This design is extremely simple and is very easy to recreate. Many of the other pot hangers I've seen made are quite complicated, often requiring a lot of cord as well as many forked sticks. Many of the other "simple" pot hangers usually lack a lot of adjustment as well.
I've never seen this design done before, so I figured I'd share it with everyone since it's so simple and functional.
