In this tutorial you’ll learn how to create a fully procedural star shader in Blender, with controllable corner curvature, and then turn it into stylized VFX particles using Geometry Nodes.
This technique is perfect for:
• Cartoon animations
• Stylized VFX
• Sparks & twinkles
• Magical effects
• Explosions
• 2D-style effects in 3D
First, we build the shader.
Then we use it as particles to create dynamic explosions with realistic motion, random scale, camera-facing behavior and smooth fade in/out.
Everything is procedural and customizable.
