With all of the benefits of a tankless hot water there is also a required maintenance to ensure that the unit operates for a long service life at maximum performance. This maintenance might be required more often based on water quality. The procedure is all but identical for both electric and gas heaters.

I point out an issue with my shallow fittings on the maintenance ports and how I was able to solve for it. Also I use a pool bucket filter on the return just because i'm curious to see what comes out of the heater.
