Happy 4th 🇺🇸 Firecrackers and Balloons to celebrate the USA’s big 250! @CarrieRhoades stretches her supplies, switches up the colors and gets inky to make this 4th of July card.
SUPPLIES:
Simon Hurley Create:
-Stencil: Bold Candles
-Stamps: Number Balloons, Snarky Birthday
Coordinating Die Sets: Snarky Birthday, Number Balloons
-Medium & Small Blending Brushes
-Stellar Ink Pads: Cry Baby, Rosy Cheeks, Buzzkill, Siren Song, Shady
-Astro Paste Phoenix Feather
-Solar Paste Sublime
-Solar Spray Golden Hour
-Clear Foam Tape
-Silicone Paste Spreader Set
-Stark White Cardstock + Top Folding Card Bases
Dina Wakley MEdia Glue
Ranger:
-Emboss it Clear Ink Pad
-Black Embossing Powder
INSTRUCTIONS:
-Stencil candles on white card front panel using Cry Baby + Rosy Cheeks ink. Over the top spread on Phoenix Feather Paste with a Silicone Spreader. Let this dry + then do the flames in Buzzkill ink + Sublime Paste. Let dry.
-Stamp the Number Balloons. Ink the top half with Bee Sting + the bottom with Siren Song, where the ink meets in the middle, soften out the line with a small blending brush. Die cut these with the coordinating dies. Position on the card + draw in the strings.
-Remove the balloons + splatter the card with the inks + sprays used for stenciling + stamping.
-Ink the edges of the card. Use Cry Baby, Siren Song + Shady Ink. Start with the lightest color + work your way to the darkest color. Each time you add a new color, cover less of the paper, for an ombre look.
-Add balloons with Clear Foam Tape.
-Ink a scrap of white card stock with Siren Song + Bee Sting + blending brush. The inks should meet up in the middle but not overlap, leaving a slight white space. Stamp + emboss the word celebrate on this panel with black powder. Die cut this to mount onto the card front.
-Ink a second scrap of white card stock with Buzzkill + then spray it with the Golden Hour spray. When dry, die cut 5 stars using the star die from the Snarky Birthday die set. Pop these up onto the card for embellishment.
-Mount to a Stark White Top Folding card base, using Dina Wakley Media Glue to complete the card.
