This week's SilverSilk Sunday is all about freeform beading and creative play. We kicked things off by looking at how Danielle finished her loom bracelet using a SilverSilk Slide Crimp. The result was clean, polished, and gave the bracelet a strong professional finish. She also worked Rock Star Pearlesque Chain into the design, which added a beautiful shimmer and completely transformed the piece.
I spent the session walking through my own approach to freeform beading using an earring design as the example. It is a relaxed method that lets you respond to the shapes, colors, and textures as you stitch, and we will continue building on this design in next week's SilverSilk Sunday. Danielle gave the technique a try during the show and created a wonderful freeform bracelet in real time.
