I wrote this song at a time when I didn’t know how to talk about pain without turning it into mythology.
“Silver Rain” came from the part of me that had been crushed by life, and the part that refused to stay crushed.
It was the first time I wrote honestly about fear — not the quiet kind, but the kind that cracks your world in half.
The kind you survive without knowing how.
This song isn’t really about the sky falling.
It’s about the moment you realize you lived through something that should have destroyed you…
and somehow didn’t.
It was the start of me finding my real voice, even if I didn’t recognize it then.
If you’ve ever felt like you were holding up a broken sky…
like you carried more than anyone knows…
this one is for you.
Love to you,
Emery

Lyrics:
You are scared the sky is falling
Because you have watched it fall
You’ve felt the weight of heaven break
And taught your soul to bear it all
You are afraid the sky is falling
Because once it did
You felt the heavens crack like glass
And learned to carry what others hid
Ashes crown your shoulders
Silence guards your chest
Every breath a reckoning
Every heartbeat a test
You remember when the stars turned pale
When the sky gave way and the ground exhaled
Yet still you rise
Feet like flame, soul unwise to die
Stand where the earth once shook beneath you
Where the fire tried and failed to eat you
Lift your eyes, though the void may call
Let your gaze rise when the heavens fall
Let the stars fall like silver rain
You were never made to break in vain
The dark may rise, but you won’t bow
There’s fire in your footsteps now
The sky may falter, the winds may bend
But this is not your end
They’ll never know the weight you bore
Holding pieces of a world no more
But you’ve learned, not all that breaks is gone
Some souls glow fiercer just holding on
You’ve walked through silence where thunder used to be
But now… now you rise
And the stars, remembering, step back to see
Let it fall, let it roar, let it rend the skies
You are the storm the storm survives
With fire in your marrow and light in your breath
You are not the child of fear but of what’s left
You are the edge where the sun breaks through
The old world ends and begins in you
Let the stars fall like silver rain
You were never made to break in vain
The dark may rise, but you won’t bow
There’s fire in your footsteps now
The sky may falter, the winds may bend
But this is not your end
Let the stars fall like dreams released
You are the storm, you are the peace
Shadow-touched but not undone
Forged in dark and dreaming sun
Between the ash and what begins
The sky may fall
But you won’t again
No, never again
Mmmm mmmm
Never again
