The Silver Flare offers a truly unique and sweet trumpet sound, due to the magical combination of its Nickel Silver leadpipe and Silver bell flare. The sound signature really stands out from any other trumpet.
On the soft side, the sound is very warm with a distinct core surrounded by a light glow of brilliance.
When you step on the gas, the brilliance shines with a powerful sound that can easily fill even a large concert hall.
It can produce dark & creamy tone colors for Ballads and also deliver a bright and exciting punch for horn section work.
However, we do not recommend this model for Lead playing, or if you are required to blend with more conventional sounding trumpets in a section context.
While it can get the job done, the Classic or Universal models are preferable in those contexts for most players.
As with every LOTUS trumpet, the Silver Flare is incredibly stable. It also offers a great level of flexibility, making it an excellent trumpet for emphasizing the more bending, vocal qualities of your solo voice, as Marcus Printup so beautifully demonstrates in his playing.
