This is an update to a Silent Hill speedrun video I published in 2015 using the sequence break to find Cheryl at the beginning of the game. I'm now declaring the Good++ Ending as a SH1 speedrun category. I challenge you to beat my time. More info on the glitch and the speedrun category below.

About the Sequence Break/Glitch:
It's very simple. After you first see Cheryl, turn around and head towards the stop sign/Bachman road. There's a trigger that prevents Harry from going forward, telling him to turn around and follow Cheryl.
If you open the menu screen at the exact moment Harry hits the trigger, the menu will cancel out the trigger, allowing Harry to go into the town.
If you follow Bachman Road south, you'll find Cheryl standing in the middle of the intersection, facing southwest.
It's important to note: if you attempt to do this *after* following Cheryl to the alley opening, the town will disappear shortly past the stop sign.

About The Editing In This Video:
The actual speedrun part (from the beginning all the way to when I reach Cheryl) was a single segment. There were no splices or edits there.
If you watch the credits, you'll see some fails I recorded before I recorded the single segment run.
Everything after reaching Cheryl is edited and fake.

Rules for the Speedrun:
1.) Time starts when you enter the difficulty level.
2.) Time ends when you run through Cheryl. You must run through Cheryl directly in order for the run to count.
Even though my time for this run is 01:28, it's not perfect. I left some room for improvement. Maybe 01:25 is possible, maybe even lower?
Try to break my record. Can you beat Silent Hill faster than 01:28?
