Hi guys! This is a really meaningful and beautiful song from the late 1980s
Arranging this felt really natural and and the flow felt relaxing yet with a little bit of punch. It was quite fun playing this :D
This is a song by both Leslie Cheung and Sam Hui, both artists from a time before I was born. For the Chinese viewers, this song may be familiar as some of our parents may had played this during our childhood.
In my own personal life, I've been busy with work and there's so many new priorities as I step into adulthood, but I think I'm handling it pretty well to be able to at least upload once a month! I will try uploading more frequently whenever I can.

Hey guys, I am back! :) Anyone missed me? Maybe not since I am already forgotten :( It was my longest hiatus ever, 3 months. I had never been this inactive since the creation of this channel. Too many projects and assignments.
A new school term just started hence theres spare time to transcribe sheets! and make a cover, of the new FairyTail opening which I fell in love with!
The speed of this song is 180bpm, Hence making this one of my most tiring recording sessions ever, 4 hours. The glissando I did at the start is so pathetic because while recording, my index and middle finger formed blisters which popped and bled. The bones of my right hand fingers were hurting from the gliss due to Archery training in school. But I still hope you can pardon my mistakes made in this playing, I tried my best.
Im glad to also say I had a lot of fun chatting with my Youtuber friends over the past few months :) Random but.. yea..

4 months ago YuKi came to me and asked if I wanted to collab with her. It was my first time but I was motivated and inspired by BaddyDans Ichiban no Takaramono cover to give my try on a collab. So I agreed. After my exams ended, I started arranging the piano part during early November.
There is not a lot of sheet music which is accurate to the original, so I made it my goal to make one so accurate that now I can confidently say that mine is probably the most accurate piano version on the internet now.
Arranging the piano part took weeks, even till the day I recorded, I still changed the arrangement a bit to make it more perfect than it was already. I listened to the original song on repeat for probably a thousand times before being able to get the arrangement so similar to original.
I was about to give up when Animenz told me that my arrangement was very accurate and said good job to me ;_; At that time, it wasnt very refined yet, and I knew I could not let him down, so I worked on it harder till it got to something I am quite satisfied with.
I was demoralised a lot when I heard how the Piano+vocals sounded like in our first draft cover. It wasnt very good. So I decided to make a drumtrack. After studying the drumtrack in the original, I decided to make something similar with my own style, without any drum knowledge at all.
Halfway as things seemed to be going smoothly, I realised YuKi couldnt audio mix and neither could I. I went to the first and probably only person I knew who could do this job well, Castlevaniapro93. He became a collab partner too and became the one in charge of playing the strings, which made this sound all the more awesome :D
After he mixed everything, I was surprised by how genuinely good it sounds even though it is only fanmade cover. I never expected the result to sound this good. This goes beyond what I had ever expected or planned, its almost like a full band cover already. Im very happy with it. A pity its only a TV size.

I want to specially thank BaddyDan89. He was the one who inspired me with his collab, then told me how to go about doing a collab (drums etc). He gave me good advice.
