Sierra Co-Founder Says Autonomous AI Agents Are Already Handling Customer Service  @CNBCi

Sierra co-founder Clay Bavor says some companies are moving beyond AI tools that simply assist workers — and are going straight to autonomous agents.

Bavor told CNBC’s Arjun Kharpal that AI agents can help fully resolve up to 80% of incoming customer inquiries in some cases, from mortgage questions to troubleshooting products.

He says the payoff is not just financial: customers benefit from not having to wait on hold or repeat information after being transferred.
