Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity brings a fan favorite from Breath of the Wild onto the roster, and to staggering effect. It's not enough to say that Prince Sidon is a formidable warrior, because a case can be made that he is one of the best characters in the game overall.
His ability to constantly force momentum back from the opponent and rapidly wear down the weakpoint gauge means that his vicious onslaught leaves very little time for enemies to react. The Boundless Optimism mechanic enables him to quickly and easily lock bosses down, while also giving him some much appreciated immunity from knockback that would otheriwse interrupt his combos.
If you need a reliable duellist that excells at crowd control, look no further than the Zora Domain's crown prince.
So what is the “Warrior Showcase”, exactly? I wanted to make a new commentary series geared specifically towards "newer" players beginning their first steps into progressing the game. This primarily focuses on the strengths of a particular moveset, and give new players a taste of what’s waiting for them if they decide to invest heavily in their favourite warrior. I wanted to make this series similar to how we tackled Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition and Fire Emblem Warriors, where we look at each character from a long-term perspective.
