Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity starts Princess Zelda out with the Sheikah Slate. While at first glance this weapon's moveset may seem gimmicky and impractical, in the right hands the Sheikah Slate can set-up some devastating combos to single targets far more powerful than one would think. Smart management of rune cooldowns will give Zelda an edge and a few reliable tools to make up for the lack of sheer fire power. Even so, the decidedly low base damage of the moveset is quickly offset through the use of food recipes to augment Sheikah Rune Damage. If you like a more thoughtful approach, don't be quick to pass this one up!
So what is the “Warrior Showcase”, exactly? I wanted to make a new commentary series geared specifically towards "newer" players beginning their first steps into progressing the game. This primarily focuses on the strengths of a particular moveset, and give new players a taste of what’s waiting for them if they decide to invest heavily in their favourite warrior. I wanted to make this series similar to how we tackled Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition and Fire Emblem Warriors, where we look at each character from a long-term perspective.
