Fixing my all time favorite game (SMB 1) on this $5 chinese handheld. They've used a PAL ROM (50hz) on a NTSC NOAC (NES On A Chip) which results in it playing 20% faster than it should.
A quick ROM dump using a bootleg GBA cart, bit swapping, search and replace of the PAL ROM with a NTSC version, bit swap and reflash and we're back up and running at normal speed.
In this particular SUP variant, data lines 1 and 9 are swapped, and 2 and 10 are swapped. There's also 0 and 1 swapped due to dumping the rom using a GBA bootleg.
The manufacturers website has all the tools to compile your own ROM compilation and menu, it even has a MIDI to NES audio converter. Pretty neat for such a niche chip.
