Malaysian men's doubles shuttler Soh Wooi Yik admitted feeling shocked after being excluded from the upcoming Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games squad.

The Badminton Association of Malaysia selected his regular partner Aaron Chia to team up with Tee Kai Wun for the event starting in September.

The omission follows a successful World Championships campaign in New Delhi, where the world number four pair secured a silver medal.

National coach Herry IP confirmed that Wooi Yik cannot be added to the team as the final entry submission deadline passed on July first.
