Keeper1st | Shreveport Stomp, as played by Jelly Roll Morton @Keeper1st | Uploaded December 2016 | Updated October 2024, 4 days ago.
Max Keenlyside ( maxkeenlyside.ca ) edited a MIDI transcription of a "hand-played" 88-note roll to add dynamics and remove roll editor's embellishments, in an attempt to re-create Jelly Roll Morton's actual playing of Shreveport Stomp, which dates from 1924 or possibly earlier.
Today, Max asked me to record it (and one other piece) on my PianoDisc system, so here it is! (The other piece will come at a later date.)
