Hey dear artists & art dealers! In this video I want to talk about online art exhibition websites that allows you make virtual exhibitions. Right now we can not host art events, art fairs or art exhibitions. I guess many of you are seeking for an alternative solution online. I checked out several websites (platforms) to host online art exhibitions, but I couldn't find a single solution that suits my needs. Like Online Viewing Room, they share very similar limitations:
1 It doesn’t bring you traffic
2 It doesn’t let you interact with visitors in real time
3 It doesn’t let you change the setup (at least not the free version)
4 It doesn’t accept payment (you can not get paid)
5 It doesn’t give you analytics (marketing tools)
6 It doesn’t accept videos
7 It doesn’t provide excellent viewing experience
8 It doesn’t respond to your hardware
As you can see it’s more like a mockup design rather than e-commerce store or exhibition. I would recommend you using social media (e.g. Instagram) + artist website (or gallery website) + e-commerce solution (e.g. Shopify) to achieve this goal.
What do you think about Online Viewing Room? Have you attended an online art fair? What's your impression? Let me know in a comment below!
