Join me for a reflective walkthrough of ARCOlisboa 2026, the 10th anniversary edition of Lisbon’s contemporary art fair. In this recap, I revisit the fair in the exact order I visited it, from the entrance exhibition and ArtsLibris to the General Program, SOLO, Opening, and several gallery encounters along the way.
ARCOlisboa is smaller and more relaxed than many major art fairs, but it still feels serious, well-curated, and closely connected to the Portuguese, Spanish, Latin American, and wider international art scenes. In this video, I share my impressions of the fair, its atmosphere, highlighted artworks, younger galleries, the visibility of Asian galleries at European art fairs, and why ARCOlisboa feels somewhere between a commercial fair and a cultural event.
