Do you say “please” and “thank you” when talking to AI?
AI doesn’t have feelings, so on the surface there seems to be little reason to worry about being polite. But there could be more to the way we communicate with artificial intelligence than simply getting the right answer.
As AI assistants become increasingly embedded in our everyday lives, the way we interact with them could shape our habits, expectations and even the way we communicate with other people.
In this video, I explore whether politeness towards AI actually matters and why the way we talk to machines is an increasingly interesting part of our relationship with technology.
