Artificial Intelligence is everywhere right now… but does it belong in a niche hobby like flip clock collecting?
In this video I experiment with AI and ask a question many collectors may be wondering: Is there any place for AI in the world of flip clocks?
Nearly everything you see and hear in this video was created using AI tools — including AI-generated images, video effects, and even the narration. I also run a live experiment using Google’s Gemini to see whether an AI assistant can recognize and understand some of the clocks in my collection.
Along the way we look at:
• AI-generated imagery based on historical clock material
• AI editing experiments (including some… questionable results)
• A live AI conversation analyzing clocks on my shelf
• Whether AI actually understands flip clocks — or just sounds like it does
Collectors often value authenticity, research, and hands-on experience. So the real question becomes:
Is AI a useful tool for collectors… or just more internet “AI slop”?
Don’t worry — this channel isn’t turning into an AI channel. This is just an experiment and a conversation starter.
