Well Plant Lovers....Tuesday was Melbourne Cup day which means....I was allowed to water my Cymbidium canaliculatum 'Jessica' for the first time since autumn!! I was given STRICT instructions to not water it from March - late autumn - to Cup day - mid spring. And I basically stuck to the rules, though I MUST confess there had been a few warmish to hot days before when I may have splashed a bit of water over the medium! (This a plant from the north of Australia with a tropical monsoonal weather system - very unlike Melbourne!) The plant survived winter and has put out a new growth so all can't be too bad with it! I've made a full length care video will link after so you can see the grand plan there! Here's to it blooming again!
