This week Plant Lovers...I've resisted making this type of video for a few years. But finally there was such a rush of similar questions over the last weeks 'How do you water your orchids?" that I've decided to make this, my watering epic! The thing is; there's no quick answer, there isn't one answer, there are SO many variables, and you really have to figure it out for yourself. So if you are looking for the quick answer as to how to water a Phalaenopsis - this won't be for you! What I do try to show in this video is how I water my indoor and outdoor orchids, what influences the hows and the whens, how the seasons change my watering and how I came to figure this out. And this is not THE way to water, far from it, this is how I manage my plants given my time and space constraints. Ultimately we have to figure what works for us, in our particular conditions, with what we're growing and in what way. You might need snacks!
