In this video we take a quick look at how to ‘Stupid Proof” your vintage computer edge connectors. Most all manufacturers added keying slots to the edge connector on the PCB. The slots like up with keys, slips of plastic inserted into connector, which prevent one from plugging the connector in upside down. Many manufacturers of devices that plug into these slots don’t bother adding the keys to the connectors even though it is cheap and easy to do.
Add your own keys and ‘Stupid Proof’ your edge connectors.
