In this lesson, I'm demonstrating how to work the neckline shaping short rows section of my top-down raglan pattern "The Downbeat" (pattern links below). In this pattern German short rows are worked after the initial ribbing in order to raise the back neck up and create a little bit of a Front neckline slope.
Although this lesson is specific to the short rows worked in this particular pattern, the overall techniques I show can easily be translated into other top-down patterns. If you are following along with The Downbeat pattern, here are timestamps for each row's demonstration (in case you want to just jump to a particular row):
00:00-01:49: Introduction
01:50-03:49: Row 1 (RS)
03:50-06:03: Row 2 (WS)
06:04-10:44: Row 3 (RS)
10:45-12:36: Row 4 (WS)
12:37-16:22: Row 5 (RS)
16:23-18:04: Row 6 (WS)
18:05-23:49 Finalizing the Short Rows
In this lesson, I work m1-R and m1-L increases at the same time as working the short rows - for a more detailed tutorial on working these increases, check out my video here: youtu.be/PCM27AqEpbo
