You don’t need the newest craft supplies to create something meaningful! Today, I am dipping back into my stash and rediscovering some tried-and-true favorites during this Bible journaling process in the book of Micah.
As creatives, it can be easy to get caught up in the excitement of new releases, new collections, and new supplies. But there is still so much inspiration waiting in the products we already own! For this Bible journaling page, I am using older printables designed by Brianna Showalter for Illustrated Faith. I printed the designs onto Avery clear sticker paper and then added my own personal touches with stencils, Distress Ink, stamping, and more.
As I create, I am reflecting on the incredible freedom and forgiveness God promises us. Throughout Micah, we see the consequences of repeatedly turning away from God—but we are also reminded of His compassion, mercy, and willingness to forgive. Despite all the times we fall short, God does not hold tightly to our sins. He offers grace, freedom, and forgiveness.
Micah 7:18–19 reminds us that God delights in showing mercy. He has compassion on us, treads our sins underfoot, and casts them into the depths of the sea. What an incredible picture of the freedom we have through His forgiveness!
I hope this video encourages you to open your Bible, pull out a few forgotten favorites, and create with what you already have. You do not need the latest supplies to spend meaningful creative time in God’s Word. Sometimes an old favorite is exactly what we need to find fresh inspiration!
