I took the Umarex Gauntlet-2 in .25 caliber out to the range on a very cold "snow day" to see how PCP airguns worked in extreme cold. My plan was to record the shots and the chronograph but I had issues with the chronograph as you will see in the video. As far as the Gauntlet-2 performing, it shot as good as it does in warm weather. I was using .25 caliber JSB pellets weighing 25.39 grains, shooting about 75 feet during some heavy sleet and freezing rain. The temperature was about 29 degrees, I filled the air tank on the rifle the night before and then put it in my truck to simulate being on a hunt or camp. I had no issues with the Gauntlet at all, the bolt worked the pellets fed and it shot great like it always does.
