What more can I say? The Guardian Legend, at least in my opinion, is the greatest NES game ever made. It is a mixed genre RPG/SHMUP/Adventure game and there is no other game quite like it. I have loved it since I was 9 years old in 1988. The game simply pushes the NES past it's limits in everything it does. It deserves more recognition that it gets. And I am here to showcase it.

This is the debut of Run N Gun games on the SHMUP Master channel! And what better way to start than with the amazing Contra: Hard Corps on the Sega Genesis!
Hard Corps has 4 playable characters (each unique with their own weapon sets) as well as branching paths and 6 different endings. This creates a plethora of ways in which someone could choose to 1cc this game. I decided to go with the hardest route first. I took Route D aka the Lab/Fight route. This is the longest path you can take with a total of 7 stages. I also used the character Fang as he is the most difficult to use overall. Although he does have some advantages such as extremely powerful weaponry.
This is far and away the most difficult game I have ever attempted to one life clear. If I wasnt already so familiar with it from playing for many years, it would haven taken me a lot longer. Regardless, it offered a formidable challenge. In the future I may attempt to clear the game with different characters and paths.
Lastly, this is not meant to be a speed run, but rather a showcase of Contra: Hard Corps. I also neglected to use the Fang exploit that allows you to fire your charge shot rapidly.

And as always, all SHMUP Master footage was recorded using an RGB cable on a model 1 Sega Genesis and then run through a Framemeister upscaler for maximum clarity. The capture card used was an Elgato 4k60 Pro at 60fps and upscaled to 4k resolution. An original cartridge of Contra: Hard Corps was also used.")
