Random thing I threw together in a couple hours whilst thinking of songs I needed to take off my iPod for Lent. Clearly I wish I were Pteryx or by pingvi making Sherlock vids.
Seriously, though, how do you even write this show? It's so fantastic and amazing and I just can't. Ugh.

I am 110% done with this project I give zero cares.
Soooo. I passed the first round in fourth place. Which was....pretty cool. However, it had the unfortunate side effect of me beginning to care about how I did, which is never a good thing. I kinda wanted to do as well if not better in the next round. Ha. See how that turned out.
Actually I started I kid you not 10+ projects in an attempt to make something for this round. None of them went anywhere. In fact, the only reason I started making this one was that I started thinking of scenes that were tied to how I was feeling trying to edit completely pitiful and useless. I struggled with the song, struggled with the subject matter, and especially struggled with the effect. I have never been good at, or enjoyed using effects, so having to use one was hard for me. I really feel like, for my vids at least, if an effect doesnt somehow add to the video, it shouldnt be there. And with this one, I liked it pretty well before I realized I *had* to use an effect. So. YOLO.
I used pan/crop. I didnt want to because I knew it would probably be THE most used effect, but nothing else was coming, so. Heres where in the video it is:

Okiday, here goes a reallyyyy long rules and such thing. Please do read all the way through before commenting.
THIS IS NOT FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE. Im really sorry to be so bossy about this, but Ive had issues before where people who really just throw a bunch of clips in haphazardly and dont follow the rules join, and I dont want that for this. If you do want in:
PLEASE USE ONLY HD FOOTAGE. It would be great if you could also post a link to a vid with Doctor Who footage so I can be sure your quality is good. (If I know you already, and I know you have good quality, you can skip this part. :P)
PLEASE ADD THE COLORING TO EACH INDIVIDUAL CLIP. I will have steps if your Vegas is older than mine, so please do this. It really does help the quality.
PLEASE FOLLOW THE BEATS AND LYRICS.
On to the rules.
RULES:
Fullscreen.
Text and overlays are allowed, so long as you can use them gracefully. Please stick with some form of Arial as the font.
Voiceovers are encouraged, but please do be sure to use them smoothly in the song, not too much background music, not overlapping any lyrics unless you cant avoid it/it works, and please send a separate mp3, without music, with the voiceover.
Please leave a second or more of clip on either side of your part.
When youve finished your part, please upload it to yt, with a download link for BOTH THE VIDEO AND THE VOICEOVERS in the description. Sorry for screaming at you there, but a lot of people forget that. :P
There will be a playlist in the description to show which scenes are taken. PLEASE CHECK IT BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR PART. We dont want any repeated scenes. ;)
Try to use scenes for your part that correspond with moments in Claras companionship that fit it, (ie you light up the path with her opening her eyes in the timestream, etc.)
You may choose the intro or outro if youd like, but please use scenes where masking can be done for the editors and similar messages.
DEADLINE: ASAP, but Im fairly flexible, so anytime in the next month or so is fine if you cant do it right away.
