Trustin Timber | SHELTER UPDATES + CAMPFIRE LUNCH (bed, shelves, table, lighting) @TrustinTimber | Uploaded February 2018 | Updated October 2024, 20 minutes ago.
This week Twig helped me gather materials to build a table. I tried building a table that was in a log cabin building book but in his design he uses nails. My goal is to create a shelter that is completely biodegradable so I’m limiting myself to natural materials. In hindsight I should have designed my own table. Building someone else design for me is like when I try to follow a recipe. I kind of suck at it. I find much more success in the building process as well as the kitchen when I need to rely on my own creativity and personal judgment along the way rather than trusting a plan created by someone else. None the less, you always learn something either way and ultimately that's what the weekly video challenge is all about for me.
We now have a much-needed table at the bushcraft shelter and a few critical updates.
Twig had hockey so our first day ended early but on the second day Caitlin came out to add her finishing touches. Now it’s ready to be enjoyed in comfort.
