Shelter Movie Review Jason Statham headlines another gritty action thriller that wants depth but never earns it. Despite solid cinematography and decent fight choreography, weak writing, flat characters, and lifeless action drag this down hard.
In our review of Shelter, Jason Statham returns to familiar action-thriller territory, but this time the formula feels especially hollow. While the film shows flashes of ambition with stronger-than-expected cinematography and competently staged action, it struggles to build momentum or emotional investment. Inconsistent characterization, a lifeless script, and baffling sound design drain tension from scenes that should hit hardest. A few solid supporting performances can’t save a movie that tries to be meaningful and fails to stick the landing.
