Jason Statham's Mutiny is a throwback action movie with brutal fights, a weak script and plenty of dumb fun. We review the new 2026 action thriller and ask if it's worth seeing.

Jason Statham is back with another action movie, and this time he's taking on Mutiny.

The new thriller follows Statham as Cole Reed, a man framed for his billionaire boss's murder who finds himself caught up in an international conspiracy aboard a cargo ship.

So does Mutiny deliver?

We had a good time with it. The action is strong, Statham does what Statham does best, and at 95 minutes the movie doesn't overstay its welcome. But the script is weak, the movie could have used a little more fun and cheese, and it's nowhere near the level of The Beekeeper.

Still, sometimes this is exactly the kind of dumb action movie we need.
