Masturbation myths like zinc loss and nutrient depletion keep coming up in my practice, but there's no evidence these are real concerns.

The bigger issue I see affecting intimacy is mental clutter during intimate moments. Sexual mindfulness means focusing on physical sensations in your body rather than the racing thoughts that pull you out of the experience.

When stress and exhaustion take over, it becomes impossible to stay present with your partner or yourself. Carving out mental space for intimacy, what some call your erotic mindset, is just as important as addressing the physical side of pelvic health.

Send this to someone who needs permission to prioritize their intimate wellness without the myths.
