Released in 2011 for iOS and Android, Shadowgun is a third-person shooter developed by Madfinger Games. Set in a futuristic world, players take on the role of John Slade, a bounty hunter tasked with taking down a rogue scientist and his army of mutants and cyborgs. The game features cover-based shooting mechanics reminiscent of Gears of War, with polished visuals and intense firefights.

For its time, Shadowgun was a technical marvel on mobile, boasting console-quality graphics and engaging combat. However, its linear level design and lack of multiplayer at launch limited replayability. Despite this, it became a standout mobile shooter and later spawned sequels like Shadowgun DeadZone and Shadowgun Legends, further expanding the franchise.
