Released in 2009 for iOS devices, Waterslide Extreme was a simple racing arcade game comprised of 9 Stages, where the main goal is to reach the end of the slide successfully. You can choose between playing as a male or female and in first or third person perspective and control the character using the gyroscope (motion controls). Alongside the path you can pick up green gems which act as the games points system alongside dodging crabs and "evil ducks" which hinder your speed. At certain sections of the game, boost pads would appear, allowing you to surpass loop-de-loops or other similar steep slopes, however it is possible to miss these pads which will cause you to run out of speed before reaching the top.
Waterslide Extreme was an early example of a free to play mobile game seen on iOS, back when the iOS App Store was still a new concept. Due to this, the game was very popular at the time due to its ease of access, word of mouth and simple gameplay.
