It was a tragic week for Watauga County. The Watauga County Sheriff's Office lost 2 deputies, Sgt. Chris Ward and K9 Deputy Logan Fox while doing a welfare check on the, then unknown, deceased parents of the suspect.
The lives of these deputies families will never be the same, this community will never be the same. It's heartbreaking what is happening to law enforcement in our country and to see it happen in your back yard is heart wrenching.
We stand by and fully support the men and women in law enforcement and I pray they can continue to protect and serve our communities without the fear of losing their life doing so.
