This week I made a dress after a 1939 pattern. After sewing costumes and historical fashion for so long, I am branching out to the realm of vintage clothing. For this project I used the antique Singer again, and it works like a dream!

As the dress progressed, I found the fabric a bit unsuitable, so after this I'm making a second one in another fabric. It's a bit more heavy and a beautiful golden-green colour, I can't wait to start it. Realising that I might not get a lot of wear out of this dress did make my work a bit less tidy. I hope you enjoy this video anyway!

What are you sewing right now, and what machine or technique are you using? And do you prefer more historical sewing or are vintage projects interesting to you as well?
