Today is a full sew and ship day in my handmade business and I’m taking you along with me from start to finish.
I had 3 custom Bible cover orders to complete… including one of my detailed junked Bible covers with patches, beads, and all the extra touches that make it so special. I started by cutting everything out, adding fusible fleece for structure, and then working through each order one by one.
Each piece is different.
Each one tells its own story.
But what made this day even more special… was something I didn’t plan.
I made a quick stop at Hobby Lobby to grab packaging supplies… and ended up finding a framed verse that stopped me in my tracks:
Proverbs 31:25
“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.”
That moment reminded me to slow down… trust the process… and just take this journey one day at a time.
After finishing the orders, I packaged everything up and headed to the post office to ship them out. There’s nothing like sending something you made with your own hands out into the world.
