Seven people are dead and at least 15 others injured following a shooting at Debsirin Nonthaburi School in Bang Kruai, Nonthaburi, on Friday morning, August 7.
Police say the suspected gunman, reportedly a Grade 9 student armed with a 9mm handgun, was later found dead from an apparent self-inflicted wound after barricading himself inside a school building. Preliminary Thai media reports also allege that two family members believed to be his grandparents were killed before the attack at the school.
Students described hiding inside classrooms as gunfire rang out, while police and emergency crews evacuated the campus and treated the injured. Two of those wounded are reportedly in serious condition.
