Watch this short video to learn how to set up your media storage location in DaVinci Resolve. This lets you define your scratch disk, additional media storage locations, proxy locations and default cache directories for new projects.

Setting up these locations correctly helps keep your media, proxies and cache files organized, improves performance when working with high resolution footage, and makes it easier to manage storage across internal drives, external disks or shared storage. It also helps ensure new projects are set up consistently from the start, reducing the chance of missing media, full drives or files being saved in the wrong location.
