In this long video (thank the flying gods for chapters!), we look at how to set up iNav 4, for fixed wing, from scratch. This is taken from the perspective of a new plane, or just starting from a full chip erase. I cover the basics, plus a bit more.

This guide will get all versions of iNav 4 (4.0 "Red Kite", 4.1 "Raging Sparrow" etc) where you need them to be. Because of the new way the version numbers are changed; there will be no features that break anything on the same major version number.

I have some more detailed videos on specific parts of the set up process. In this video I mention when they would be useful. So feel free to pause this video, and check out the more detailed video. The video links are below the contents section. There is also an article for the set up process at mrd-rc.com/tutorials-tools-and-testing/flight-controller-therapy/a-complete-guide-to-setting-up-inav-4 I would recommend having the article open as you set up iNav.

In the video, I mention some CLI to switch to the default OSD on failsafe. That CLI command is: set osd_failsafe_switch_layout = ON
