The plaintiff says he was hired by the defendant to design an electrical upgrade to his apartment. He says after he did some initial work, the defendant informed him things had gone bad and he was postponing the complete job. He is suing for the money owed for his services. The defendant says he hired an architect who hired the plaintiff. He claims the plaintiff came to his apartment, looked around for 15 minutes, told him it was an easy job, and said he’d send a proposal with a contract. He says he received a large bill for services the plaintiff hadn’t even rendered yet.
