Serpentine Camo DMZ, The RAREST Camo & How to Unlock it! (DMZ Season 5 Reloaded)
With the Season 5 Reloaded update a new camo called Serpentine has been made available to unlock through a quest in DMZ.
This quest requires you to head to pretty much all of the different DMZ maps to collect and barter for certain rare items which culminates in Unlocking the camo through the new buy station that can be found with-in the Chemical Bunker underneath Zaya Observatory.
There’s a lot involved in doing this, So i imagine a majority of people aren’t going to bother doing it for themselves which in my opinion is going to make this one of the rarest camos in the game.
So first off you're going to need a secure backpack for this pretty much the entire way through because there are alot of items you need to take from map to map and none of them are mission items.
So if you’re able to definitely craft a secure bag otherwise you’ll have to loot around until you get lucky and find one.
So the first step is getting a secure backpack, The next is to acquire some ancient gun oil which you can barter for from the regular shop in Koschei Complex.
The items you need are 1 diamond bit drill which you can find with-in the Locked Bunker inside of the Alpha Cluster in Koschei, 3 AQ Laptops which can be found with-in the player entrances in Koschei Complex, 1 Jug of Chlorine which can really be found anywhere inside the complex and finally you need 1 damascus dog tag which is by far the hardest thing to find in DMZ.
I’ve almost exfilled 1000 times in DMZ and i’ve never come across another player with a damascus tag.
So rather than going on a killing spree what my mate Elvis and I had to do was solo que into the same game together and i let him kill me and take the damascus tag from my operator.
I then left the game, he exfiled out with my tag and then next game he was able to give it back to me for the barter.
Once you’ve crafted the Ancient Gun oil, You then need to take it to Ashika Island where you then need to work towards crafting some of the Bombmakers Blend.
For this barter you need the Ancient Gun Oil, you need 1 Bombmakers screwdriver which the bombmaker himself will drop once you kill him, you need 1 GPU which is best to get from the Tsuki Castle Weapons Locker and finally $200,000 cash.
Once you’ve got all of that, you can then barter for the Bombmakers blend which you then need to take to Vondel and start working towards the next barter which is for Premium Liquor..
For this you need the bombmakers blend, you need one bullfrog blow torch which is dropped when you kill the bullfrog boss himself, 2 of the Scavengers Calling Card which are the ones he leaves in the backpacks of dead operators and also 2 bottles of Vintage Wine.
Once you’ve got all of that and have crafted the Premium Liquor, you next need to head back to the Koschei Complex and begin working towards bartering for some Blackcell Hand Cream.
Unlike the first barter for the ancient gun oil in Koschei, This one needs to be done through the shopkeepers locked buy station. So you need to find the random items each game that he requires you to dead drop in order to unlock it.
For the barter you need the Premium Liquor as well as 1 stealth vest, 1 comms vest and 1 medic vest.
The best way to get those will be by first getting the diamond bit drill from the alpha cluster bunker and then using that to crack open the safe in the boss area which contains each of the vests required.
After getting those items and crafting the Blackcell hand cream you’ll then need to extract and go to Al Mazarah and start working toward the last barter where you’ll unlock the camo.
Like I mentioned at the start of the video this final barter needs to be done with-in the portable buy station you’ll see marked on the map at zaya observatory.
The catch with this buy station is that you can only get access to it once its covered in Radiation Gas, So you’ve gotta wait till basically the end of the game until the gas spreads over the observatory.
For this final barter and to unlock the camo you need the Black Cell Hand cream, you need the Chemists Acid which is dropped by the chemist boss when you kill him, 1 Heavy Chopper fuel which will most commonly spawn on the Cargo Train and also 1 skeleton key which doesn’t need to be pristine or anything like that, just a one use skelly key will do the trick.
Once you’ve gathered those items up and the radiation has spread over the buy station you can then barter those items and unlock the camo.
