Back to a city setting we go, with Rodriguez tagging along. Like all friedly NPCs, he's not exactly useful nor is he a liability (thanks to being invincible). Difficulty is really starting to pick up during this level.
Sniper Rifle gets more use, with Ocanian Snipers getting introduced near the beginning of the level. They take their time to aim and shoot at you with a hitscan bullet that does a lot of damage. Other new enemies are: Zubenhakrabian Spiders that are weak horde enemies and are surprisingly deadly. There's also Calypso, which didn't get the chance to do anything.
Grenade Launcher finally makes a return and is unchanged from Serious Sam 1. Later in the level you get a mod for it that let's you detonate the grenades manually while spawning more grenades. You can also get a blackhole generator that sucks in nearby enemies and turns them into... nothing.
