The writing of serialism/12-tone/ atonality can be complex but I believe I have made it accessible to interested students of the topic. For those new to the sounds, I hope you will give it a chance. It can grow on you. Leonard Bernstien gives a good tutorial of atonality if you are interested. You can find it on You Tube. The world is so full of discord right now and one of the best ways to express oneself through is through the 12-tone/serialism technique. If you have not allowed your mind to open and explore the world of serialism music then you are missing out esepecially if you are one who enjoys the study of music theory.
